A Winter Evening with Stream of Passion

Понимаю, что всех достал уже с этим голландским роком, но куда деваться. Я тут так, коротенько…	I realize everyone is alreay sick of my gig reports, but can't really help it. Let's just keep it short…
28 декабря 2012 г., как я и говорил, состоялся праздничный рождественско-новогодний концерт нидерландского ансамбля прогрессивно-металлической музыки Stream of Passion с несравненной Марселой Бовио во главе.	On December 28, 2012 Dutch progressive metal band Stream of Passion, lead by the splendid Marcela Bovio, gave a festive Christmas/New Year's Eve gig.
Концерт проходил в традиционно небольшом зале, в этот раз в утрехтском клубе Tivoli. Основной фишкой было участие большого числа приглашённых музыкантов из дружественных проектов. Гость номер один: скрипач Ben Mathot из легендарной прогрессив-метал-команды Ayreon (слева):	The gig took place at a traditionally small venue, this time at Tivoli in Utrecht. It featured a number of guest musicians from other projects. The guest no. one: violinist Ben Mathot from the legendary prog metal band Ayreon (on the left):
Бен играл великолепно. Марсела, впрочем, показала, что не лыком шита и на скрипке тоже умеет:	Ben's violin was gorgeous. However Marcela demonstrated she wasn't born yesterday either:
Гость номер два: Марьян Велман (Marjan Welman) из группы Autumn. В прошлый раз я был не очень впечатлён, но вдвоём они звучат просто отлично.	The guest no. two was Marjan Welman from Autumn. Last time they didn't really impress me, but as a duo they sound just perfectly.
Третьей гостьей была Шарлотта Весселс (Charlotte Wessels) из Delain. К ней мы ещё вернёмся.	The third guest was Charlotte Wessels from Delain. We'll come back to her in a bit.
Был там ещё Daniel de Jongh из Textures, но что-то он меня никак не задел. Даже Марсела его представила: «Даниел из этой… как её… Textures, кажется» (в шутку, конечно). Хотя их музыка сама по себе довольно интересна. Марсела исполнила их песню Awake в акустике, но почему-то без Даниела:	There was also Daniel de Jongh from Textures, but it wasn't really my cup of tea. Even Marcela introduced him with: "Here's Daniel from the band… what's the name again… Textures" (that was a joke of course). Although their music I find interesting. Marcela sang their track Awake (which was played unplugged), but without Daniel for some reason:
Игра Бена на скрипке впечатляет. Потом Марсела долго собиралась с духом и всё-таки решилась.	How Ben masters the violin, is really impressive. Marcela made up her mind after a while.
Исполнила Summertime — «Колыбельную Клары» из оперы Гершвина «Порги и Бесс», — предварительно перекрестившись:	She performed Summertime from George Gershwin's opera Porgy and Bess:
Заметно, что высокая партия даётся ей нелегко.	One can notice the high notes are difficult for her.
Вот кто конкретно понравился, это Дамиан Вилсон (Damian Wilson), старый и новый вокалист Threshold и ещё целой груды проектов: тот же Ayreon, Headspace, Star One, Landmarq, Gary Hughes, English Rock Ensemble, Guy Fletcher, Aina, After Forever, Mostly Autumn, Praying Mantis, он также исполнил главную роль в мюзикле Les Misérables.	Who I liked a lot was Damian Wilson, old and new singer in Threshold and a lot of other projects: Ayreon, Headspace, Star One, Landmarq, Gary Hughes, English Rock Ensemble, Guy Fletcher, Aina, After Forever, Mostly Autumn, Praying Mantis, he also played the lead role in the musical Les Misérables.
Исключительно позитивный чувак, с очень широким диапазоном и сильным голосом. Вся честна компания исполнила один из хитов Ayreon «Into the Black Hole»:	He's an extremely positive guy, with a broad vocal range and a strong voice. The whole gang played one of Ayreon's hits Into the Black Hole:
Шедеврально. Добавить тут, по-моему, просто нечего. В общем, я согласен с басистом Йоханом вам Стратумом:	That's a masterpiece, no comment required. I can only concur with Johan van Stratum (bass):
Ну и отдельно хотелось бы отметить игру Стефана Шульца (Stephan Schultz):	Stephan Schultz' play also stands out:

Под конец Дамиан придумал вдруг новую затею. Ему очень захотелось прыгнуть со сцены.	At the end of the show Damian came up with the idea of a stage dive.
Он позвал за компанию Шарлотту из Delain, но прыгать вдвоём с ней не захотел. «Нет уж, если мы прыгнем вдвоём, — сказал он, — они поймают только тебя». Так вот Шарлотта прыгнула, а скорее легла на с готовностью подставленные руки мужской в основном аудитории:	He invited Charlotte to join the dive, but wouldn't want to do it all at once. "If we jump together, he said, they'll only catch you." So Charlotte jumped, or rather lay on the hands, mostly masculine naturally:
Её заботливо передали дальше (всем хотелось ведь прикоснуться к прекрасному). «Ставьте уже меня на землю», — просила она:	After a bit of crowd surfing (everyone wanted to touch the beauty), she asked the crowd to bring her down:
И вот наступила очередь самого Дамиана. Тот прыгнул от души прямо в волнующееся море рук:	Now it was Damian's turn. He jumped and dove right into the sea of hands:
Но ничего, сдюжили.	But we managed.
Я наснимал на концерте немало видео. Атмосфера была просто классная, видимо, сказался и рождественско-новогодний период. Всё было очень позитивно и как-то прямо по-домашнему мило.	I've shot quite some videos at the gig. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I think it's also due to the holiday period. Everything was positive and sweet, just like at home.
